Hello,
From the excitement of space exploration to hands-on history and family celebrations, April was a powerful reminder of how America’s story continues to unfold in inspiring ways.
Here’s a look back at some of the moments that brought us together:
Reaching New Heights with Artemis II
This month, America250 joined in celebrating NASA’s Artemis II mission, an important step in returning humans to the Moon and preparing for future journeys beyond. In a powerful tribute to this legacy, astronauts carried the spirit of 250 years of American history 250,000 miles to the Moon, featuring the America250 flag in a live telecast to Earth just after completing their historic lunar flyby. As we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary, milestones like Artemis II reflect the same spirit of curiosity, courage, and innovation that has defined our nation for generations.

Celebrating with Families at the White House Easter Egg Roll
America250 was proud to take part in the White House Easter Egg Roll, connecting with families and young people from across the country. At our interactive activation, attendees joined George the Star, America250’s official mascot, on a journey through iconic moments in American history. From Independence Hall to the Golden Gate Bridge, families explored immersive, photo-ready environments, posed with themed props, waved commemorative flags, and even signed a replica of the Declaration of Independence. These shared experiences helped spark curiosity, pride, and excitement for the 250th anniversary in a way that was both meaningful and memorable.

Step Into History at the White House Visitor Center
America250 also unveiled a new immersive exhibit at the White House Visitor Center, offering visitors an engaging way to explore our nation’s past, present, and future. Through dynamic storytelling and interactive elements, the exhibit invites guests to reflect on the people, places, and moments that shape the American experience, and to consider their own role in the story still being written.
The White House Visitor Center installation is now open to the public as of April 1, 2026.
