Feds Raid Denver Nightclub, Arrest 50

Federal agents raided a makeshift nightclub in north Denver early Sunday, arresting nearly 50 individuals, many linked to the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.

The operation, led by the DEA, seized drugs, weapons, and cash, with detainees handed over to ICE for further investigation.

The raid targeted drug trafficking and gang activity at the invite-only event on North Federal Boulevard.

This crackdown follows increased attention on TdA-related violence, including recent arrests in Aurora tied to unsafe housing conditions linked to the gang.

Shooter in Nuggets Celebration Pleads Guilty

A man who injured 10 people during a shooting after the Denver Nuggets' championship win in 2023 has pleaded guilty and faces decades in prison.

The shooting occurred early on June 13, 2023, at 20th and Market Streets, hours after the Nuggets secured their NBA title.

Vasquez, then 22, fired into a crowd before fleeing and was arrested nearby.

Vasquez will be sentenced to 35 years in prison on March 21.

Rescue Mission Saves Dog Stranded on Cliff

A dog named Tiny was rescued after a 13-hour mission when she became stranded overnight on a cliff near Collbran.

Tiny’s owners, who had been using her to track a mountain lion, located her on a cliff via GPS on her collar but deemed it too dangerous to attempt a rescue.

Mesa County Search and Rescue responded, deploying two teams to navigate the rugged landscape. After hours of rappelling and climbing, a small team reached Tiny and secured her with a rope system and canine harness.

Rescuers then had to navigate snow-covered terrain and waterfalls to bring her down safely. Tiny was unharmed and has since been reunited with her owners.
