Colorado saw a 6% salary increase in 2024, a notable jump from 2023’s 0.4% growth. However, it remained below the 8.7% national average, ranking Colorado 39th among states, according to a report by the Colorado Chamber of Commerce.

Despite this, the state’s median salary of $61,745 remains competitive, ranking 14th nationwide. The city of Sterling leads with the highest median salary at $67,600, followed by Denver and Boulder.

The report also revealed a 3% decline in job openings in the final quarter of 2024, a sharper drop than the national average decrease of 0.7%.

Conversely, remote job openings grew by nearly 7%, maintaining Colorado’s reputation as a hub for remote work.

Dear Flyover Readers,

I hope you enjoy The Colorado Flyover as much as we enjoy bringing it to you every morning. It’s truly an honor to provide you with the news in a format that’s easy to read, unbiased, and written with care.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of bringing our entire national Flyover team together in one place. From 12 different states, our team of writers, editors, fact-checkers, proofreaders, developers, engineers, and more gathered to plan, strategize, and, most importantly, connect. We shared meals, laughed, and brainstormed ways to make The Colorado Flyover even better for you, our readers.

Our team works incredibly hard each day, sifting through hundreds of stories (so you don't have to) to deliver you the news that matters most. While many media companies are downsizing and losing viewers, we are doing something different. We’re growing.

Today, we bring the news to nearly 40,000  readers in Colorado every single morning, and as you know, The Colorado Flyover is and always will be 100% free of charge. I couldn’t be more grateful to count you among our most loyal readers.

While advertisers provide a portion of our funding, we also rely on readers like you to keep The Colorado Flyover flying. Your support helps us maintain the team, tools, and resources that make our news publication possible.

If you’ve found value in The Colorado Flyover—if it’s made your mornings better, kept you informed, or simply been a trusted source of news—I would greatly appreciate your financial support. Even a small contribution can go a long way in helping us continue to deliver the unbiased, trustworthy news you deserve.
