How to try this new and interesting meal plan strategy

Hi reader,

Have you ever heard of connected meal planning before?

It's the idea that your meals don't stand alone. They're not independent of each other, but rather dependent - connected - by using the same ingredients.

In connected meal planning, you PLAN to use the same ingredient in at least two meals.

This technique saves you both money and time.

  • Money - You can buy one vegetable that's in-season and on-sale, and use it for multiple meals. Or you can buy one or two meats at a good price and use them for the whole week (instead of different meats every night and paying more than you need to).
  • Time - You actually spend less time in the kitchen, and your cooking/prep time each week is streamlined.

Connected meal planning was KEY to getting our grocery budget under control, so I wanted to share a few of my favorite connected meal ideas that help stretch your pennies every week!

Ground Beef

  1. Stuffed Bell Peppers
  2. Mexican Casserole
  3. Classic Chili

Chicken Breasts

  1. Chicken Fajita Soup
  2. Buffalo Chicken Wraps
  3. Chicken Tetrazzini

Eggs

  1. Egg Salad
  2. Spinach and Mushroom Quiche
  3. Egg in a Hole

If this sounds overwhelming or confusing or you have zero experience with meal planning and I'm talking Greek, that's okay!

In honor of my course Meal Planning Bootcamp opening soon, I'm hosting a FREE 5-day Meal Planning Made Easy challenge and it's a GREAT way to get started with meal planning.

We just started the challenge yesterday, but it's not too late to join! The training videos are available in the Facebook group or the replay page for a few more days!!
