In case you somehow haven't heard, Amazon Prime Day is officially here. From now until tomorrow at midnight, the site is offering some of its biggest discounts of the year, so we're switching up our newsletter cadence a bit to get you the deets on all the best deals in real time.
To be completely honest, I'm usually too busy writing about Prime Day to actually buy anything. But this year, there are a few specific items that have been on my wishlist for quite some time, so I'm using the sale as an excuse to finally call them mine. These are the products in my cart right now.
Blenders big and small
I haven't owned a full sized blender since I was in college, and I think I've finally reached a breaking point with my dinky little 10-year-old bullet-style model. Vitamix is the biggest name in blenders for a reason, and I have my eyes on their Explorian model for its low profile and lower price tag than some of their other models (even lower now at over $100 off). I do still love a bullet blender for my morning smoothies though, so I'm swapping my current model for the one that associate commerce director Emily Johnson raves about.
A restock of my favorite fun bevs
I'm fully on board the prebiotic soda train at this point, and Poppi is my personal favorite brand in the space. I consider having a fridge stocked with fun bevs the peak of luxury, so I'm taking advantage of this 33% off deal to afford myself a taste of the high life. This variety pack includes my favorite flavor (Doc Pop) and my roommate's (Grape) along with some other classics like Cherry Cola and Orange Cream.
A cordless stick vacuum
I'd be embarrassed to tell you how seldom I vacuum, but the reason isn't because I hate the actual task—it's because my corded canister vacuum is a pain to use. With a sleek cordless Dyson in my arsenal, I solemnly swear I'll deep clean my apartment every week…or something like that.
The next best thing to an actual ice maker
In my dream world I own our top tested G.E. Opal ice maker and enjoy crunching on an endless supply of nugget ice on the daily. But this is not my dream world, and instead I plan to make do with this ice tray that releases cubes into a drawer compartment that, if I close my eyes, will let me pretend I'm scooping ice from a fancy machine. And if you're in the market for an actual countertop ice maker, know that the G.E. Opal is also on sale for 18% off.
