In a letter to the DNC, the House member said serious concerns remain about Biden's place at the top of the ticket. Three former chairs of the DNC are resisting the call to delay, sending letters to committee members urging them to approve the virtual vote. The use of a virtual roll was organized to address the challenge of getting Biden on the Ohio ballot ahead of the Aug. 19 convention. Ohio state law requires nominees to be named by Aug. 7 or they won't appear on the ballot. Reps. Jared Huffman, Mike Levin, Adam Smith, and Susan Wild are believed to be some of the 20 House members to have signed the letter. Huffman, who has publicly called for Biden to step down, appears to be leading the effort. | Sen. Bob Menendez Convicted of Bribery New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez was convicted of all 16 charges in his corruption trial Tuesday, including bribery and acting as a foreign agent for Egypt. Prosecutors presented evidence that Menendez accepted gold bars, cash, and a Mercedes-Benz in exchange for political favors, with $150,000 worth of gold and $480,000 in cash found during an FBI raid on his residence. His wife, Nadine Menendez, was also implicated, accused of orchestrating the bribery scheme and facing 15 charges herself. This marks the second time Menendez has faced corruption charges, with a previous case in 2017 ending in a hung jury. | List: Most and Least Stressed U.S. Cities A new study ranking the most and least stressed American cities found Cleveland as the most stressed, followed by Detroit and Baltimore.
