Your Salad Spinner Should Be Made of Glass |
Forgive a slight brag: I'm kind of known for my salads. People are always asking me to bring them to the birthday party, the barbecue, the bris—whatever it is, I'm rocking up to the function with dressed leafy greens. (Side note: If you'd ever like to receive awed praise for doing the bare minimum, master a basic vinaigrette). Despite being "the salad person," I did not own a salad spinner for years. But then I discovered that Oxo, the best in the salad spinner biz, makes a glass salad spinner. I had a thought. With a beautiful, higher-finish salad spinner, I could use the tool to wash greens, then simply pluck the spinner part out and use the simple glass bowl to serve salads. In my mind this bowl would not be a dreaded unitasker, but a spinning, mixing, serving juggernaut.
