Weekend sorta-baking project: use any pita to make excellent pita chips with these easy methods.
~ Sometimes we have a treat ~ The pita chip is one of those treats! I am a kind of pita chip connoisseur, having tasted most every boxed and bagged version out there. I find that there is such fresh flavor, such light crispness that comes only from the homemade pita chip (with store-bought bread...).
Check out my steps for two methods that make great pita chips. Then make an incredibly good Fattoush Salad with them (you'll never, ever stop eating that salad!). Tuck them into your mezze platter too.
Use any pita, thicker or thinner. Fresh, or a little less so. You'll get great chips either way. Get there two different ways.
