This classic Midwestern dish gets a major flavor boost with some umami-packed ingredients! This quick and simple dish is pure comfort food. It's a favorite in our home and one that my kids frequently request. Whether it's spooned over creamy mashed potatoes, buttery noodles, or flaky homemade buttermilk biscuits, it's always a hit. For a delicious old-school comfort dish that's ready to serve in 25 minutes and is guaranteed to bring smiles to everyone's faces, this is a winner!

If you love Chinese takeout like we do, Sweet and Sour Chicken is a dish that should be added to your repertoire. Battered and fried pieces of tender chicken are simmered in a yummy sweet and sour sauce with bell peppers, green onions, and pineapple. With its vibrant colors, contrasting textures, and interplay of flavors, it's simply delicious!

Inspired by our recent trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, this lemon cake really puts the LEMON front and center!

This limoncello cake is a celebration of citrusy sunshine and is a delightful way to indulge your sweet tooth! Made with limoncello, fresh lemon zest, and lemon extract, along with a limoncello glaze, this cake gets FOUR doses of lemon flavor because, really, can you have too much lemon? No way! You can bake it in a Bundt mold, turn it into a layer cake or sheet cake, or bake it into cupcakes. It's perfect for any occasion!

Last Week....

I was introduced to these for the first time shortly after I moved to England. A quintessential British snack or appetizer, Scotch Eggs feature hard-boiled eggs encased in savory sausage, rolled in seasoned breadcrumbs, and fried to crispy perfection. Use your favorite brand of ground sausage or make your own (I provide two different homemade sausage options). Scotch eggs are fun to make and are super tasty!

If you've been to Germany and have had Kรคsekuchen, you know that it's something special. Light and airy and tangy with just the right amount of sweetness, this is how my Mutti and Oma made it. This German cheesecake is made entirely from scratch (no vanilla pudding powder mix!) and tastes like it came from a professional German cafรฉ!

This popular sauce is a favorite to use for dipping spring rolls, egg rolls, wontons, dumplings, chicken wings and nuggets, drizzling over rice, kabobs, meatballs, and more. (It's also yummy mixed with cream cheese and served with crackers!) Ever wondered how to make that bottled stuff yourself? It's easy! It also tastes better than store-bought and doesn't have any preservatives or other additives!
