Thursday, 6 July Report launch: WHO/UNICEF Progress on household drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) Progress on household drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) 2000-2022: Special focus on gender, joint WHO/UNICEF report provides the first in-depth analysis of gender inequalities in WASH. This report highlights several key areas, including the number of hours spent collecting water, the division of responsibility for collecting drinking water, threats associated with shared sanitation facilities, and access to menstrual health and hygiene services. The report's findings shed light on the profound impact of these factors and provide valuable insights. The press release will be available online with links to the report at https://www.who.int/news-room, as soon as the embargo lifts.
