Wow, the calendar says November tomorrow, and it's Holiday Go-Time! Still, fun as it is to plan ahead, we've gotta eat and eat well through our weeks. My Braised Chicken with Lemon and Olives is a recipe that is fabulous both as weeknight meal or company. Plus, so economical. Alongside, go low-carb (it's going to be a big month ahead, no?) with flavor-packed Lebanese slaw that uses spices and good olive oil instead of mayo for great taste, and a platter of Roasted Cauliflower Shawarma to pack even more punch. Or roast that up as one of your meatless mains this week. I'm getting into making batches of salads and such to take me through weekday healthy lunches. This French Lentil Salad has been a favorite forever. As for dessert, here is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting that satisfies those sweet warm spice flavor cravings right about now.
