| National Weather Service has extended the time of the Excessive Heat Warning for: La Paz and Yuma Counties from 8/26 1 PM to 8/28 8 PM. Mohave County from 8/26 10 AM to 8/29 8 PM. Daytime highs are expected to be up to 117° F. Residents are advised to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed. *The Excessive Heat Warning will expire on 8/27 at 8 PM for Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, and Santa Cruz Counties.  Precautions to prevent heat exhaustion or heat stroke: Stay in air-conditioned buildings. Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day (mid-day). Check on at-risk friends, family, and neighbors at least twice a day. Drink water before, during, and after working or exercising outside.
