Happy Tuesday my friend!
I'm so excited because I just hit "publish" on my very first Instant Pot recipe on the blog:
Instant Pot Apple Butter!
It dawned on me that tomorrow is September 1st. And although fall technically doesn't start until later in the month, we all know fall is (un)officially here.
The kids are back in school, the PSL is out now, the leaves are starting to change, and the orchards are gearing up for ripe fruit.
And this can only mean one thing--apple picking is right around the corner. Honestly, it's my hands down favorite fall activity.
I just love the whole event of it-- the fresh donuts, the smell of cinnamon and tart fruit, the warm apple cider, riding on a bumpy wagon around the farm. It's just one of those snapshots in life that makes you smile and feel super, wicked cozy.
As always I find myself picking WAY more apples than I'll ever use up at one time, but sometimes it's just hard to resist that gorgeous Mac hanging low on a branch. I have a feeling you're the same way.
But no worries this year--that's where this recipe comes in!
This super easy apple butter recipe calls for 6lbs of ripe, juicy apples, NO PEELING is required, and after just a few hours of cooking in the Instant Pot, you have an incredibly rich and sweet spread that screams fall.
It's perfect for slathering all over toast and pancakes, spooning into oatmeal, or serving alongside a roasted pork loin. Honestly, this apple butter is the only condiment you'll need this season.
Oh, and did I mention that it's going to make your whole house smell like an apple pie? Yea. This stuff is intoxicating.
I'll leave the recipe below and let you run on down to the orchard.
Have a safe and healthy rest of the week my friend!
Michelle, Tim, and D.
