HSE eBulletin REACH eBulletin Issued: 14 July 2021 Consultation on alternatives for Applications for authorisation: call for comments (deadline 8 September 2021) HSE has received an Application for authorisation for the following substance/use: 4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated (OPEO) (CAS: 9036-19-5). Use of 4-tert-OPnEO in the development of gene therapies. Article 64 in the UK REACH Regulation makes provisions for HSE to obtain and use additional information on possible alternatives or technologies as part of the opinion forming process.   HSE has announced a public consultation.
