FDA Continues to Warn of Products with Hidden Drug Ingredients and Urges Stores and Online Marketplaces to Stop Selling These Products

FDA continues to warn consumers of products with hidden drug ingredients represented as conventional foods or dietary supplements for weight loss, body buildingpain reliefsleep aids, and sexual enhancement. Consumers should beware not to purchase or take these products because the hidden drug ingredients may cause serious side effects.

FDA also continues to urge stores, websites, and online marketplaces, including Amazon, to stop selling these potentially dangerous products. Despite our efforts, FDA continues to find potentially dangerous products available for purchase on the internet, including from online marketplaces like Amazon, as well as retail stores. We believe stores, websites, and online marketplaces, including Amazon, can do more to protect consumers by not selling or facilitating the sale of potentially dangerous and illegal FDA-regulated products.

Our highest priority is protecting the health and safety of Americans. We remain vigilant and will continue to alert the public when products and companies place consumers' health at risk.
