MEDIA ADVISORY Join WHO's Director-General and other experts at the webinar on the global estimates of the need for rehabilitation Subject: The webinar will present key findings from the Global estimates of the need for rehabilitation based on the Global Burden of Disease study 2019 paper published in The Lancet. The estimates highlight the importance of rehabilitation as a key strategy for Universal Health Coverage. They also challenge the thinking that rehabilitation is a fallback strategy when preventive, promotive or curative interventions fail, or that rehabilitation is a disability-specific service needed only by a minority of the population.
