The following Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN) reports were released on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.    Japan: MHLW Updates Genome Editing Handling Procedures for Crossbred Progeny On December 23, the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW) amended the handling procedures for products that are derived from the crossbreeding of genome edited varieties which have already been notified to MHLW. Developers of these products are no longer expected to undergo MHLW's consultation process.
