Hey...I know it's April Fools Day today and I thought about pranking you, but honestly what I'm about to share is shocking enough on its own.
I wish what I was about to tell you was a joke, but it's not.
As you know, I've been investigating the differences between food products sold in America versus Europe for a really long time now.
And what I've found has really opened up my eyes as to how much Americans are being poisoned compared to our friends in other countries.
Food companies have reformulated their products to sell overseas – selling them safer versions of the same products while continuing to sell Americans the more toxic versions.
And the more I dug into this, the more I realized it wasn't just happening with processed food ingredients.
It runs the gamut from pesticides sprayed on our crops, chemicals in our plastics, the drugs and feed given to farm animals, even the substances in our cookware and food packaging.
The double standard is everywhere.
One of the most alarming examples is Roundup weedkiller.
Bayer sells Roundup to farmers in both the U.S. and Europe, but the rules around how it can be used, what goes into it, and how much can end up in your food are dramatically different – and Americans are paying the price.
