For a while, my kids' breakfast routine looked like this:
π« A Pop-Tart on the way out the door
π₯£ Or a quick bowl of cereal - usually the sugary kind
π¬ Sometimes… nothing at all, I just give them money to grab something at school
Not exactly what I pictured when I said I wanted to feed my family better.
But mornings were hectic. I was getting ready for work, trying to get everyone out the door, and we just fell into survival mode.
I bake a batch (or two) on Sunday, freeze them, and suddenly… we actually have breakfast ready. My kids like them, I feel good about what they’re eating, and mornings run smoother.
Here’s why I love them:
✅ They freeze beautifully - just reheat and go
✅ You can batch them ahead (I usually double or triple the recipe)
✅ They’re made with real food and actually keep everyone full
✅ They save time and money on last-minute breakfast fixes
✅ I don’t have to think about breakfast during the week - it’s already done
These are our favorites:
π Banana Chocolate Chip – the most popular one on my site (180k+ shares!)
π Apple Spice – made with real apples, Greek yogurt, and cinnamon
π« Blueberry Banana – my daughter’s favorite and freezer-friendly to!
