Hi there --
If you're only here for the recipes, keep scrolling. But I wanted to share some important things that I've had going on first.
I had a very eventful week that included an amazing visit with my daughter at her university out of state for Parent's Weekend. We had a red dress gala and it was so special! She is thriving in college and I am so proud of her and happy for her!
This was us on Monday afternoon saying goodbye to each other at lunch before I flew back to San Diego.
Then....This was me just hours later, Monday evening in San Diego, I had been admitted to the hospital and had to have emergency abdominal surgery.
It came out of no where, it came on fast, it was a true emergency, and I am grateful I live so close to a large, progressive hospital with amazing surgeons.
I am at home recuperating now with my cats. I can walk, I can eat, I can drink, and I am alive 🙌🏻 - and don't want to get into the nitty gritty details.
The good news is that I work months ahead so all my holiday content is 100% created. I just have to write about it and edit photos which I can do. So there will be no interruption in recipes or holiday recipes!
🙏🏻 The best thing that you can do for any creator or blogger you follow to support us is to keep coming to our websites, clicking over to our actual website for recipes, and not stopping at the AI Overviews provided in search results since that content has been taken from us without compensation. Coming to our websites where there are ads is how we are paid.
⏰ One more little thing since most of US changed our clocks last night, let me know what you think about it. Personally, I want to leave the clocks alone. If I had my choice, I'd prefer daylight savings time, meaning it's lighter later into the evening. I hate the early darkness that standard time brings (what we just changed into) where by 5PM it's black.
