I love this time of year so much. I can’t get enough. While it’s barely cooled down in our area, I can feel it coming! This week I decluttered and cleaned a ton of spaces. The fall is a huge entertaining season for us (all the birthdays!) which then leads right into the holiday season. I love having my kitchen, pantry and all the entertaining essentials exactly where I need them for easy grabbing. I also love celebrating these little holidays in our house for the kids. Decorating for everything - like Halloween, Thanksgiving, plus every little micro holiday - is so important to me. I loved when my mom did this and it is such a core memory. I can already tell how excited my kids get when they help me bring out a pumpkin garland or something they’ve seen every year in the fall. It is time consuming and sometimes the clutter of holiday decor gets to me, but it is SO worth it. Making this time magical helps keep our little family legacy and tradition alive. Above is my library which I still have to organize - I can’t even tell you how crazy these shelves are. This is just a small slice of it. I’ve wanted to make it rainbow color coded (I know, I know, a big NO in the serious book world) and it takes such a long chunk of time. It’s still on my list! Now, for all the goodness of the week.
