This is another first for me, because I don't cover fashion much on this blog. But I think this bears mentioning, because I know that there are plenty of wide-footed girlies like me who are not having the easiest time finding nice, locally-made footwear. Let's take a moment to admire this pair of So Pretty by Base Advan Leonor Two-Tone Flats (P625).
So Pretty Base Advan Leonor Two Tone Flats
Features: Made of Synthetic Leather with a satin/matte finish. And if you are trying to make more conscious purchase decisions to support Filipino brands, these shoes are actually made in Marikina!
Fashion: Okay, I'm all about this two-tone combination of black and beige as I am one of those people who purchase skintone or black shoes and bags for their versatility when paired with most outfits. (Hooray for neutral flats!) There are soft, slouchy shoes, and then there are structured ones that take on a more formal look. This belongs to the latter.
OOTD for a family gathering
Function: That being said, this should be worn/treated like other formal or firmly structured footwear. Meaning, this isn't designed for all-day walking or commuting. But these are perfectly comfortable to wear around the office or on dates. There is some cushioning on the insole that makes it more comfy on the pads of the feet.

Fit: Compared to the shoe brands I've tried in major department stores, this runs a bit bigger. I actually had to size down from my usual 40 to a 39. That provides me with enough allowance that the back of my heel isn't rubbing against the rim of the shoe. And while the rim has a fit that's just right, the inside is a bit roomy that my toes don't feel compressed.
...Aaaand that's it for my forray into fashion for the moment. Back to our regularly scheduled programing!
