| Hi reader, We made it to summer! I hope you're feeling great about the sunshine, ice cream, and warm weather! Let's just call this what it is: a really random list of things I love for summer. Some are practical, some are pretty, and some are just fun. These products are all things I've actually bought and actually used (over and over again). They make my summer days smoother, happier, and just a little easier. I hope you find something that gives your summer a boost too! This might be quite literally the best way we've ever spent $9. This little hamper folds into a flat little disc that you can tuck it in your suitcase, and then pops up to become a stand-up hamper once you get to your destination. It makes me feel so much more *managed* during family trips. All the kids' (and our) dirty clothes can just get tossed in there during the week (instead of exploding out of a suitcase and onto the floor). We take them home all in one bundle and just pop it all in the washer. No clothes strewn about the cabin, Airbnb, or hotel room, and no sorting once you get home. Game changer.
- A Sectioned Duffel That Makes Kid Travel a Breeze
Couldn't live without this bag! It's basically a cute, quality duffel bag with sections. We use it for kids - so toiletries can go in one section, diapers in another section, and one section for clothes for each girl. Love a tool that makes travel feel a bit more manageable and fun! We've been relying on this heavily for the last few years - I actually love it so much that I convinced my sister (who has 4 kids!) to get one and now we both use these bags every time we're on the road with kids.
- The Balance Board That Gives Us Something Fun To Do After Dinner
Our girls love this thing. And honestly, Bjork and I do, too. It's like a mini slack line suspended on a wood frame, with cute designs for kids (but they have adult styles, too). We have had so much fun doing "timed trials" after dinner - each person gets three tries to stay standing on it for as long as possible. We pair the stopwatch on our phones to the TV so we have a big timer display and we compete to see who can stay on the longest! (I do currently hold the family record at 2 minutes 6 seconds and will be mentioning that publicly for as long as I can!) I had a friend text me about this the other day to say, "This is literally the best thing you've ever influenced me to buy! Our kids love it!"
- The Summer Of The Mini Blender
I've loved this thing year-round, but now that it's getting nice and warm and I'm back to making morning smoothies, I'm loving it all over again. The to-go container is my favorite part! I just blend, put the cap on with the straw, and head out the door.
- Normalize Fridge Lazy Susans!
I cannot overstate how much these lazy susans have improved my kitchen life. I bought two, set them up, and then immediately bought 4 more. We have them in the fridge, the pantry, and now over at the office kitchen! My fridge went from being a bit overwhelming to very zen and organized.
- Normalize Nail Trimmer Kits In Cars!
Okay, hear me out. Bjork set one of these up in the glove box of both cars a few months ago. Did I make fun of him a little bit? Yes. Do I find myself using them on the regular? Also yes! And now I couldn't live without them being there! They're classy in their little leather pouches and so convenient for an emergency nail file or tweezer moment! (Not specifically made for the car, but so perfect when you're on the road.)
- The Ads Got Me and Now I Love This Daily Facial Serum
I got influenced to buy this from an ad, and it's been as good as I hoped. I've actually since re-stocked twice because I love it so much. It resurfaces and tightens and brightens all at the same time, like multiple serums in one. I put it on morning and night (with sunscreen during the day). Big fan!
- The House Slippers Of Summer
I love these so much that I accidentally wore them out of the house the other day. Like, got halfway through my drive and realized I still had these on. Woops! They're just so comfy. I am wearing them while writing this. My plantar fasciitis (cute) has been bugging me more lately, probably because I'm out walking and running more than usual, but these help so much for just hanging out at home in the summer. Even if I didn't have any foot issues I would still wear them. They're cute and super comfy summer house slippers.
- THE Summer Dress
I have been looking for a summer dress that can do dinner date, girls night, and/or work meeting all in one - and this dress is it for me! In fact, I wore it to Kindergarten graduation this week and it was perfect. It works especially well if you are smaller on top, which I am, because it is pretty low-cut in the front. The cut and the fit makes it feel a little extra sophisticated. It's my dress of summer 2025!
- My New Do-It-All Pants
These pants are SO awesome. I've been looking for a good pair of pants that I can wear for travel that are comfy but don't look super sloppy - these feel like the best yoga pants you've ever worn, but they look like nice, quality, fashion-forward wide leg pants. Love love love them.
- Sunscreen for Summer That I Actually Enjoy Wearing
Sunscreen I actually enjoy applying and wearing! It's a miracle! I love this stuff. We buy a few big pump bottles and just keep them out on the deck, in the garage, and in the swimming bag - wherever we will all be hanging out outside.
