Former President Donald Trump returns to North Carolina on Saturday for a 2 p.m. rally at Wilmington’s Aero Center.

Trump’s visit coincides with a new CBS 17/Emerson College/The Hill poll of swing states that gives Vice President Kamala Harris a one-point lead in North Carolina.

Meanwhile, a nationwide Gallup poll puts both candidates’ favorability ratings under 50%, with Trump at 46% and Harris at 44%.

The former president’s visit follows his running mate JD Vance’s rally in Raleigh Wednesday, during which Vance focused on the economy, housing crises, and immigration.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson is being pressured to drop out of the North Carolina race for governor following a CNN report alleging he made lewd and divisive comments on pornographic websites between 2008 and 2012.

The CNN report also accuses Robinson of using antisemitic language.

Robinson denies the accusations and maintains he will stay in the race, despite reports that members of his own party have asked him to drop out.
