There's something to be said for that whole "girl dinner" trend--the phrasing is not ideal, but the idea of noshing for a meal is something Middle Easterners have always done. As in: MEZZE! Small plates. The anchors of these are dips, the joy of the veggie/cracker/pita and the eater herself.
Nothing makes my Labor Day crew, mostly men gathered around the porch, happier than a Maureen walking out with a big tray of mezze. Even when I don't have time to cook, I can pull this baby together from what I can find in the fridge and cabinets: olives, pickles, labneh, hummus, avocado, fresh vegetables, pita chips, good crackers. What makes it all look so inviting is cramming lots together on the platter and drizzling with olive oil, then dusting with spices.

In the shop, a BIG SALE is still on! You've already been shopping like crazy, stocking up on the goodness. Thank you! Save on the drizzle (EVOO) and dusting (spices!) and everything in the shop with code LABORDAY24.
Bless your hands,
The Platter.

Muhammara is such a treat: roasted red peppers (which you can buy all set in a jar), toasted walnuts, panko, pomegranate molasses, garlic, and more. Watch it disappear!
