| Hey there reader! π How are you'? I can hardly believe we're already stepping into March's first week – time really does fly by! A few weeks back, I was feeling a bit worn down, but looking at the bigger picture since the start of the year, I'm actually feeling pretty good about the goals I've set for myself in 2024. ✅ One key change I've made is cutting back on sugary coffee creamers in my morning coffee. Sure, I've slipped up a couple of times, but for the most part, I've been sticking to just 1-2 tablespoons of heavy cream or half-and-half. This simple swap removes 30-50 grams of processed sugar from my daily intake. I haven't noticed any dramatic weight changes on the scale, but how I feel is a different story. I'm no doctor or scientist, but cutting back on sugar (not that I consumed a ton to begin with) has made my joints feel so much better. The only sugar I consume these days comes from the natural sugars in my smoothies. ✅ Speaking of smoothies, I've been enjoying them 5 days a week. Despite some folks in the weight loss community advising against smoothies due to their sugar content, I find they're an essential part of my diet. They make me feel amazing, and honestly, I don't believe that fruit and veggies blended with a bit of almond milk are the root cause of weight loss issues. Just my two cents. ✅ Then there's my trusty mason jar salads – I've been having one for lunch five days a week for the last decade. That's a whole lot of salads! ✅ But the major goal I've really held onto this year is getting back into a regular exercise routine. I'm thrilled to say that most weeks, I've managed to work out 4-6 days. I can feel the difference in how my clothes fit and my overall confidence levels. Now, let's look at the goals I have for this month: π Keep up the momentum with my smoothies, salads, and exercise routine! π Continue with my food tracking. I've been logging my daily intake each morning into My Fitness Pal. It's a great way to stay mindful and get a good start to the day. I've actually come to enjoy it. π A new focus for this month is increasing my water intake. I get a lot of hydration from my smoothies, but I know I need to drink more water. I'll be using My Fitness Pal to keep track of that too. I'm curious to hear about your goals for the month!
