Weekend baking project: these luscious recipes use yogurt for tenderness, moistness, goodness!
~ Yogurt's Baking Magic ~ Yogurt is used in all kinds of baking recipes, from breads to cakes, because it lends a moist crumb, a tenderness wherever it goes. I've been eyeing French Yogurt Cakes recently, very similar to my recipe for this glorious yogurt pound cake with lemon and olive oil. How about that glaze?! We have yogurt there too, for gloss and added flavor.
Scroll down for three more baking recipes to put your yogurt to delicious use.

Carrot Cake. Best carrot cake I've ever made or eaten, hands down! There's yogurt and olive oil in this one too. Lush cream cheese frosting.
Namoura-style. A traditional Lebanese semolina yogurt-coconut cake soaked in syrup, done "my style" here with fancy sugared rose petals. You can make it real simple without those, though!
Soft Pita Bread. Dough with pita is so soft and beautiful, as are the resulting pitas. I've been making "half batch" of this recipe, so manageable and it works great.
~ Thanks for shopping! ~ You've been getting after it, so we're extending the sitewide sale today, 15% off everything.
