A reader (and 'cooker'!) recently told me she takes this Creamy Cucumber Salad whenever she's assigned to bring a side dish, and always gets asked for the recipe. In addition to the incredibly fresh flavor that cucumbers are known for, my recipe is loaded with herbs. The dressing is full-flavored with yogurt. Above all: the cukes stay crunchy!

A main dish, a side dish: however you offer this, you will find fanfare! Cauliflower loves the Shawarma treatment. Roast them cut side-down on a hot sheet pan for that caramelized beauty. Keep the onion wedges in tact by trimming the root end without removing it entirely, before cutting in wedges. Get my favorite Shawarma spice here.
LOVE. It's simple and every eater wants a spoonful because it goes so easily on the plate. Wonderful with lamb, that cauliflower, the creamy cucumber, and even just aside a lettuce salata. A child's friend, this one. Use cut vermicelli or break up angel hair pasta.
