When: Tuesday, 30 January 2024 at 14:00 CET (Geneva time) Subject: Ahead of World Cancer Day on 4 February, WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) will release the latest estimates on the global burden of cancer and WHO will publish a 115-country survey, showing how a majority do not provide adequate cancer and palliative care. The estimates highlight the growing burden of cancer, its disproportionate impact on underserved populations, and the urgent need to address cancer inequities worldwide.
