Monday, January 31 | 12 P.M. EST

Join FP for a discussion with both the Finnish and British ambassadors to the U.S. on how Europe can best respond to the threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The pages of Foreign Policy are just one of the places you can find analysis and debate that take you below the headlines. When you become a subscriber, you'll get invitations to live discussions with policymakers, policy influencers, and FP's writers and editors. In order to show you what it is like to be part of the conversation, we are giving you an exclusive invitation for our next FP Live, happening on January 31 at 12 P.M. EST

Foreign Policy editor in chief  Ravi Agrawal will welcome both Karen Pierce, the U.K.'s ambassador to the United States, and Mikko Hautala, Finland's ambassador to the United States for a live discussion that will include questions from viewers.

The threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to hang over global politics. Europe's leaders are trying to find diplomatic solutions to the crisis while also preparing for the worst by bolstering Kyiv's defenses and racing to explore alternatives to Russian energy sources. But within Europe, there is a variety of opinions on how best to respond, which Russian President Vladimir Putin may seek to exploit.

What are Europe's options? How can it come together to make war too costly to countenance? And how can the United States help? Sign up for the next FP Live
for answers.
