MSDH urges Mississippians to take precautions to help prevent disease transmission: keep gatherings small, wear a mask in public, and make sure that you have received your vaccination or appropriate booster. More than 1,449,932 people have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Mississippi. Vaccination benefits you even if you have already had COVID-19. Most COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are among unvaccinated Mississippians.  Find a Vaccination or Booster All Mississippians aged 5 or older are now eligible for vaccination at hundreds of convenient locations statewide. Vaccinations and boosters are free to all Mississippians. An outbreak is considered any confirmed COVID-19 case among LTC facility residents or employees. School COVID-19 reports will resume in mid-January after their holiday break. COVID-19 Hospitalizations by Date | | - Be vaccinated, or get a booster. Vaccination is the most powerful step you can take to resume normal community life and stop unnecessary deaths. Booster doses are important to extend your immune protection.

- Be treated with monoclonal antibody treatment if you have tested positive and may be at risk for serious illness. Details
- If you are unvaccinated, wear a mask whenever you are indoors, away from home.
- Keep gatherings small. Maintain a healthy distance as often as possible.
- If you are over 65, or have a chronic illness, avoid all large indoor gatherings, even if you are vaccinated.
