Today is the middle of American Education Week and Geography Awareness Week (and it's GIS* Day). November is American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, Aviation History Month, Diabetes Month, and Family Caregivers Month.  (*Geographic Information System)

American Education Week: November 15-19

In the U.S., per student (public pre-K through 12th grade) spending was $13,187 in FY2019, a 5.0% increase from 2018, and total enrollment was 48.0 million.

Geography Awareness Week: November 15-19

The 2019 County Business Patterns counted 1,046 Geophysical Surveying and Mapping establishments in the U.S. with 8,054 employees and a $679.0M annual payroll.

National Child's Day: November 20

The majority of America's 72.9M children under 18 live in households with two parents (70%). The second most common are children living with mother only (21%).

National Family Week: November 21-27

According to the 2019 American Community Survey, average family size has grown from 3.20 in 2007 to 3.23 in 2019. There are about 79.6 million families.

National Aviation History Month: November

The 2020 M3 Survey reported the seasonally adjusted value of shipments of U.S. total defense aircraft and parts at $55.6B and nondefense at $80.9B.

National Family Caregivers Month: November

The 2019 American Community Survey counted 488,187 childcare workers; 761,338 personal care aides; and 65,992 personal care and service workers, all other.
