| Last month, the Intellectual Property Office business engagement team begun a new series of 30 minute long intellectual property (IP) Basics webinars. It was wonderful to see so many people keen to protect their business' IP. This month the webinars will run on Thursday, 25 November. If you have attended one of our previous IP basics webinars or IP masterclasses, these webinars will be similar, but a bitesize version. Each month we will deep dive into each of the IP rights to explain what the right is, how it can help your business and how to apply. You can choose which webinar is most appropriate for your business and sign up in advance to the free online event. Last month we looked at copyright and registered designs. This month we will be running one webinar on trade marks and one on patents. Not sure what intellectual property right is for you? There are four types of intellectual property rights in the UK: patents, copyright, trade marks and registered designs If you're not sure which one (or ones) are right for your business, check out our Intellectual Property overview. Then join us for the webinar which will suit you best. We are also running a general overview webinar in January if you'd like a broader introduction to IP for businesses. Keep your eyes peeled for new webinars Don't worry if you can't make it this time, we will be running these topics again. We will be taking a break in December for Christmas, but from January we will run webinars on the 4 IP rights again and bring you additional webinars on IP overseas and an overview of IP for businesses. Be sure to check your inbox for an invitation to these or take a look on our social media channels (links below). Your Intellectual Property is more valuable than you think Intellectual Property (IP) can account for more than 70% of your business' value, far outweighing the physical assets in your business. Find out how to identify, protect and exploit your IP assets to their full potential with our FREE interactive online support tools. This includes webinars, online learning tools, case studies and much more. | | | |
