A-Ben-A-Qui cleaning paste is more widely available—and works just as well.
We Found a Dupe for Our Favorite TikTok-Famous Cleaning Paste
Last year, I fell in love with The Pink Stuff, a cleaning paste from the U.K. that went viral on TikTok. But, I found that it could be tricky to source in the U.S. It often sells out on Amazon, or suffers price gouging from third-party retailers. So, I began searching for a dupe.
Enter A-Ben-A-Qui cleaning paste. The New Hampshire-based company has been making the cleaner since the 1950s, marketing it as an all-purpose environmentally safe solution. It's pretty similar to The Pink Stuff: both contain a mixture of organic abrasives, baking soda, and soap. And luckily, it performs just as well: It banishes stove top grime, whitens grout, and buffs stainless steel skillets spotless. Read on for my complete side-by-side test.
