Latest updates to Companies House services We've rounded up all the latest updates as we continue to maintain services for our customers and protect the welfare of our employees in response to coronavirus (COVID-19). We're closely following government guidance for working safely during coronavirus and have reduced the number of colleagues in our offices. This has led to delays in processing correspondence, documents and paper forms. Please do not send us paper documents or correspondence unless it's absolutely necessary. Use our online services to make sure your information, such as your confirmation statement, is processed on time. See a full list of Companies House documents you can file online, and visit our YouTube channel to see all of our how to videos. We've also developed a service to Upload a document to Companies House instead of sending a paper document by post. The government has launched 3 consultations to crack down on fraud and improve corporate transparency. These further consultations follow the publication in September of the government's wider plan to reform the Companies House register. Read and respond to the 3 consultations: The closing date for these consultations is tomorrow, 3 February, so please take this opportunity to have your say. We've temporarily paused our voluntary and compulsory strike off processes for one month from 21 January until 21 February 2021. Find out more about the suspension of strike off processes. Beware of scam telephone calls claiming to be from Companies House. We'll never contact you by telephone to find out who your officers are, or ask for secure information. Find out what to do if you receive a suspicious call. The UK has agreed a deal with the EU and rules for doing business have changed. Businesses must act now to ensure they are prepared. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has launched a series of new, on demand videos to help businesses familiarise themselves with the new rules. You can select which videos to view from the list, or choose your sector and see videos that are recommended for you. A reminder that CHD and WebCHeck will be closing soon. Users are encouraged to use Companies House Service (CHS) instead. Additional dissolved records (all companies dissolved since 2010) have now been added to CHS. Read a blog post by Tom from our Analysis and Corporate Insight team, on how the data we collect on our register helps to inspire trust in our customers. You can also read about some of the work we've been doing to help drive confidence in our data. Coronavirus support is available to businesses. You may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants, whether your business is open or closed.
