Last Chance! Do you have your 12 grapes ready? 🍇

The countdown to 2021 is on -- are you ready?!

Here in Spain, we take the start of a new year seriously, with a handful of traditions guaranteed to bring us luck and prosperity.

Here are Four Ways to Celebrate New Year's Like a Spaniard

🍇 12 Grapes: Prepare small bowls of 12 grapes per guest for your midnight celebration. Then race against the clock to eat all 12, timed to the last 12 chimes of the clock before midnight. If you succeed, you'll be rewarded with a lucky 2021!

🍾 Cava: New Year's Eve in Spain is all about cava. Enjoy this delicious Spanish wine all night long by choosing a young, fresh bottle for your aperitivo, and moving on to something more complex and aged for your midnight toast.

🦐 Mariscos: New Year's in Spain is all about mariscos (shellfish) and most families cover their table in all sorts of delicious tapas. We recommend making easy and delicious gambas al ajillo for a Spanish twist.

🎁 Red Underwear: For one more guarantee of luck in 2021, make sure to wear at least one red undergarment on New Year's Eve. BUT -- in order for this to work, the undergarment must be gifted to you by someone else!

Wherever you find yourself this New Year's, we wish you a happy and healthy start to 2021.  Salud y suerte!
