Camel Snus MRTP Application Comment Period Reopens, New Amendment Posted In response to a request from FDA, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company has submitted an amendment to their modified risk tobacco product (MRTP) application for six Camel Snus smokeless tobacco products. As a result, FDA has reopened the comment period for this application. The comment period will close on Dec. 30, 2020. The application materials, redacted in accordance with applicable laws, can be read on the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company MRTP applications webpage. FDA takes into consideration all information available to the agency, including public comments and recommendations from the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee, before making a final determination on an MRTP application.
