| Dear Fellow Conservative, I’m Steve Hilton, and I’m running to be the next Governor of California to bring back freedom, opportunity, and common sense. To make California Golden Again. Our grassroots movement is already gaining steam, and some of the strongest leaders in the conservative movement have already endorsed my campaign. | There’s nowhere better than California. But everyone can see how badly things have gone off track. We were once the land of opportunity but now we have America’s highest prices for gas, power outages are a regular occurrence, and almost a million Californians don’t have access to clean drinking water. Today we’re sadly famous for dystopian scenes of crime, chaos, and squalor. Let’s make California the land of opportunity again with: | We need to make California an inspiration again, not a warning of what not to do. There’s only one way to do it. We need to end the Democrat one-party rule that got us into this mess. California is ready for a change. In 2024 almost every county shifted away from the Democrats. Since Gavin Newsom took office, one million new Republican voters have registered. Earlier this year a poll found that 48% of Californians would consider voting for a Republican governor. I’m honored to have strong conservative leaders like Vivek Ramaswamy, Charlie Kirk, and Kirk Cameron endorsing me, but your personal endorsement matters more to me. | To win, we’re building a grassroots movement. I know what I believe and what it takes to save California. Your contribution of $25, $50, or $100 will get our message to millions of voters. I moved to the Bay Area over a decade ago. I’ve raised my family here, taught at Stanford, started a business, written books, hosted a TV show … lived the California dream. It’s my home, in the deepest sense. I’m a proud American, and an incredibly proud Californian too. But I’ve never forgotten where I came from. My parents were immigrants – they fled communism in Hungary to start a new life in England. In a free country. I appreciate exactly what that means. We didn’t have much money. My mother worked in a shoe store, my stepfather worked construction. My dad, who died when I was a kid, was the goalie for the Hungarian national ice hockey team. In 2012 we moved to California. I hosted a TV show — The Next Revolution with Steve Hilton — and podcasts: California Rebel Base, The Steve Hilton Show, Big Ideas Book Club. Through my policy organization, Golden Together, I’ve set out the changes we need to make to get this state back on track. Over the last few years, I’ve traveled the state, meeting people from all walks of life and backgrounds, in every part of California. I’ve spent time with business owners and workers in every industry, struggling with the absolute nightmare it’s become to start and grow a company here. I’ve seen the struggles so many Californians face raising a family given the unbelievable costs of living here. To make real change happen in government, you need the ability to think differently, the courage to challenge establishment groupthink and the conviction to follow through. That’s what I will bring to this job – to the urgent necessity of restoring the California Dream for everyone, and making this beautiful state, that we love so much, truly Golden Again. | | | |
