Bavarian-style bar & restaurant, showcasing a wide range of European beers served in tankards, and offering indulgent alpine dishes, including traditional European fare. Albert Schloss also have a "showtime" full of live music and cabaret! This chain has 4 UK locations, of which we visited the Manchester branch.
It's only taken me nearly 3 month to post about this really good meal that we had in Manchester at the start of March, BUT I had to share it with you. It's only a short review as we only had a few pints and a main meal each, but it's definitely worth the mention. We booked a table at Albert Schloss, a Bavarian-style bar & restaurant, a couple of weeks before visiting, for an early evening meal before going to see The Reytons. The place was buzzing with people on their day/night out. It's a massive venue & the music was very loud, but we sat in the far corner of the restaurant area, and the atmosphere got our day sesh started 🍻
We both went with the chicken schnitzels;
- Schloss Schnitzel £19 - chicken breast with roasted pumpkin seed pesto, aioli, charred lemon and herbed new potatoes. My gosh this was such a delicious and filling meal. I loved it and ate every last bit!
- Tyrolean Schnitzel £23 - chicken breast, 'nduja, mozzarella, parmesan, served with spaghetti pompdoro. Wow 👌🏼 Ben loved this and I had a bit of food envy too
As the meals were decent portions and really delicious, the price point didn't seem too high. Beer is pricey, but it is everywhere in the centre of Manchester, in fact in every city at the moment. The place was very busy so booking ahead is recommended. If you like some good beers, a buzzing and lively atmosphere, and some proper stodgy but very tasty grub, then I think you should give this place a visit. Albert Schloss also serve breakfasts from 9am. Check out their website for more information here.
