PEMS Request Submission and Response Due Date Effective March 28, 2025 Effective March 28, 2025, Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) requests must be submitted within 180 calendar days of the date that they were created. PEMS requests in "Draft" status will expire after 180 calendar days. PEMS Requests Response Due Date - On March 28, Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will update PEMS to add a Response Due Date on all existing requests. Except for revalidation requests, any request that is in "Draft" status on March 28 will receive a Response Due Date of Sept. 24, 2025.
- All PEMS requests that are created on or after March 29, will automatically receive a Response Due Date that is 180 calendar days from the date that the request is created.
PEMS will close requests that are not submitted by the Response Due Date. The request status will be set to "Expired," and can no longer be submitted. Providers must then create and submit a new PEMS request. Request Dashboard Update PEMS requests in the "Draft" status will display a (!) symbol next to the Response Due Date, warning providers that the request will expire if not submitted on time. Revalidation Requests will Remain the Same PEMS revalidation requests already have the Response Due Date feature. Revalidation requests in "Draft" status will retain their existing Response Due Date and will not have their Response Due Date extended on March 28. For more information and to view examples of Response Due Dates, refer to TMHP's Effective March 28, 2025, PEMS Requests Must Be Submitted Within 180 Calendar Days of Their Creation Date, found on the TMHP Texas Medicaid webpage. |
