I recently asked a bunch of parents on Instagram whether they feel, generally speaking, good about kid and family food. When a full 80% said either "No, are you nuts," or, "IT'S COMPLICATED," let me tell you: I felt seen.
From picky eaters to allergies to nutritional questions, the sheer labor of the 19,000+ meals (plus snacks!!) we'll feed our kids over their journey to adulthood is a huge and sometimes frustrating part of the caregiving package, evolving in every age and stage.
If you feel like you could use a few more ideas for meals your kids might actually eat, or even a fresh way to relieve some of the stress around family meals, I would LOVE to invite you to join our 10-day, limited-run email newsletter, Stuff Kids Eat* (*maybe, sometimes?).
It kicks off with a novel but deeply helpful way to rethink your priorities on family meals. Then we pack in SO MANY ideas for breakfast, lunches, dinners, theme nights, easy-button grocery store meals… and snacks. SNACKS. (And yes, I'll tell you what the other 20% of parents in my survey are doing to feel pretty good about all this!)
You're not alone at dinnertime; come find a few more things your kid might eat (maybe, sometimes?).
