This $13 Tool Helped Me Break My Paper Towel Habit |
I used to be really judicious about my paper towel usage. I was smug about it too and often bragged to friends and family that it took me six months to go through a single roll. Then I had kids. Now I'm ashamed to admit that there are three rolls of paper towels in my kitchen at all times. We keep one mounted on the wall near the stove, one on a low shelf my young sons can reach, and one on a magnetic caddy by the back door. I don't know how many rolls we go through in any given month, but I promise the number is too high. Over the years I've attempted to cut back with a series of reusable options that all seemed to create secondary problems, mostly in the form of more laundry. No matter what eco-friendly alternative I tried for quick cleanups, I always ended up going back to paper towels—until I found this tiny broom set from Mr. Siga.
