πŸ’• πŸ’• Reset & Flourish Weekly Newsletter + Goals For the Week (January 28th)

Hey there reader!

I hope you're doing well! Let's dive into how this past week unfolded, shall we? After the chaos of last week's big snowstorm, life has finally returned to normal - and honestly, I couldn't be happier about it. Thank goodness, because I can only stray off routine for so long before going crazy. Hahaha…but seriously.

To be completely honest, this past week was a bit on the uneventful side. And truthfully, I kind of love that. During these quieter times, I get to fully concentrate on my workouts, maintain my healthy eating habits, keep up with work and just live a little more peacefully.

Here's what I accomplished.

⭐️ First up, I'm super proud to say that I've been almost completely avoiding sugary coffee creamers all week. I've been really good about this all month, with just a few tiny slip-ups. And guess what? I've also cut down significantly on processed sugar. Not that I consume a lot of sugar, but it's amazing what tries to sneak in when I'm paying attention. Now, the only sugar I get is natural from my smoothies. I do keep an eye on those, too, but let's be honest, I can't give up my smoothies – they just make me feel amazing! One of the biggest changes I've noticed? A huge reduction in inflammation. My joints and body feel so much better – less soreness and no aches. It's incredible how quickly I felt the difference. And yes, less bloating too! If you're dealing with inflammation, I really recommend cutting back on processed sugar. It might make a big difference.

⭐️ Next, I've exercised 5 times this week. I've reached that sweet spot where exercise feels like a natural part of my routine again. I'm not forcing myself; I genuinely want to do it, and it's a priority for me. The benefits? Amazing energy, sharper focus, and just overall better mental stability. Exercise really is a game-changer.

⭐️ Lastly, I've been keeping up with my smoothies and mason jar salads. Dinners, though, could have been a bit better. That's mostly because I didn't meal prep as much as I should have. I had plans to take pictures of new recipes for the Reset & Flourish Planner, but time just ran away from me – that's on my to-do list for today. In the meantime, I've been eating meals from the freezer, relying on leftovers, and keeping an eye on portion sizes.

These are the goals I want to work on this week.

➡️ First off, I'm aiming to kickstart my exercise routine a bit earlier. Lately, I've been starting around 7 am, which, yes, is still pretty early. But this means I don't really get into work mode until around 10 am. Since I usually wrap up work by 3 pm due to various commitments, I want to shift things a bit. My goal for this week is to start exercising by 6:00 am. Ideally, I'd love to begin at 5:30 am, but let's take baby steps and start with 6:00 am. This change isn't just about prioritizing exercise; it's also about carving out more hours for my workday.

➡️ Next up, I need to up my water intake. Sure, my smoothies keep me hydrated, but by the end of the day, I realize I've barely had any plain water. So, this week, I will keep track of my water consumption using a 32-ounce bottle. The plan is to drink at least 64 ounces of water every day.

➡️ As for everything else, I will keep the momentum going. I'm really happy with all the habits I restarted in January. Even on days when I've had little slip-ups, I've managed to get right back on track the next day.

Okay, let's get to the rest of the newsletter.
