NEW RECIPE! ⭐ Welcome Back to Sally's Baking Challenge
Hi reader,
Happy 2024! With a new year, comes an introduction (or re-introduction) to my 7-year-old-tradition: Sally's Baking Challenge. ππ°π₯
Established in 2017, Sally's Baking Challenge is a fun and optional community bake where readers all over the world bake a certain recipe during the month to be entered to win a $250 Amazon gift card.
And this time, we found a more streamlined way for readers to enter the challenge. (See below!)
So, whether you participated in Sally's Baking Challenge in previous years, or are new this year, let's welcome back this beloved voluntary bake-off! π₯
This is my newly developed recipe for soft & hearty whole wheat bread. Even if you do not wish to participate in the challenge, you can still bake and enjoy this tasty homemade bread. Don't forget the imperative sponge step, and see my recipe Notes for make-ahead & freezing instructions.
How to Participate:
Get The Recipe! π±
The January recipe is Whole Wheat Bread. Always fun to start the year with a homemade yeasted bread. If you're not into this recipe, or are gluten intolerant, the alternate recipe is Butterscotch Pudding.
Let's Bake! π
During this month, make the whole wheat bread or alternate recipe.
Take a Picture & Enter! π·
Visit the official Sally's Baking Challenge page, which you can find in my website's right-hand dropdown menu and upload your recipe photo in the white box that says January 2024 Baking Challenge. After that, for a bonus entry, leave a star review on the recipe, and be sure to mark that off in the same white box where you uploaded your photo. Submit your entry before January 31st at 11:59PM EST to be entered to win a $250 Amazon gift card.
⭐⭐ FAQs, the alternate recipe, previous winners, and readers' photos as we collect and verify them are all available on the Sally's Baking Challenge page.
If you love Sally's Baking Challenge, and want to receive email reminders during the month and a recap of the challenge at the end of the month, click here to ensure you're on the Sally's Baking Challenge email list. Have fun! π
