6 health & wellness favourites | 3 recent go-to recipes | My June reading list |
May is always my favourite month of the year (so much so that my daughter is called May!), everything feels so bright, so optimistic, so joyful. The first signs of summer are the ultimate mood booster. That optimism is definitely trickling through everything we're doing, we've just had our best sales week ever, we've almost finished our new cookbook (hooray, didn't think I'd meet that deadline!), we hosted our first ever international Deliciously Ella pop-up shop in Amsterdam this week and on Wednesday I'm celebrating turning 32! I'm feeling very grateful for another year of opportunities, learning and growth and can't wait to see what happens next. Love, Ella x | |
| This Mauli bath oil feels so luxurious, the smell of bergamot and chamomile is just beautiful and it seems to instantly wash my stress away. My dream Friday night is a hot bath, a great TV show and a delicious dinner. | This is the dream travel mat, if you want to take your yoga/pilates/at home exercise with you this summer. It's genuinely tiny, yet still so grippy. I got it before we went to Spain and thought it was brilliant. It meant I could squeeze in a 10-20 minute yoga flow each day, which felt so good. | |
| Our new kombucha. The ginger, lime and mint one is just unbelievable! I don't often drink alcohol, so I'm always looking for something delicious to have instead. This absolutely hits the spot! It arrives in Waitrose on Wednesday. | I find when life gets busy I sometimes drop my healthy habits (right when I need them most!). Over the last few months I've started making daily(ish) smoothies as easy ways to keep my fruit, veg, nut and seed intake up and I have to say, I'm feeling so good for it. My go-to recipe is a blend of frozen banana, frozen blueberries, spinach, chia seeds, hemp seeds, peanut butter and almond milk. | |
| I've been using this SPF everyday so far this spring. I'm becoming a big fan of this brand. It's got a lovely tint to it and seems to work a charm at keeping any burn away, even on very hot days on holiday! | I find putting on hand cream the ultimate self-care, it's so easy to skip but I always feel like I've done something a little extra when I do it, which puts a spring in my step. This smells great, absorbs really quickly (no greasy hands!) and it's a really great price point. | |
| I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I'm half way through it at the moment and really enjoying it. It's funny, observant and empowering. A great summer read. | I'm sure lots of you have read this too, but if you haven't then it really is brilliant and a great starting point for anyone looking to make long term lifestyle changes. I'm such a believer in the power of tiny habits and the idea that small, achievable changes are infinitely more powerful than massive, overnight changes. All the data says the same, and this book just sums up the why perfectly. | |
| I'm the biggest advocate of making eating healthily easy, which is why I've been making these three recipes on repeat. They're all very straightforward yet still super delicious. | If you want more smoothie inspiration, this one is fab. I always feel so good about myself when I make it! | My girls love our ratatouille orzo traybake, which is great news for me, as it's so easy but packed with veg and the leftovers are delicious too. | If you make one thing this week, definitely try this. It's a re-make of an old favourite and it's honestly unbelievably delicious! I'm obsessed. | |
