Substance: 2,2'-Dichloro-4,4'-methylenedianiline (MOCA, MbOCA). (NPnEO)
Use: Industrial use of MbOCA as a curing agent/chain extender in hot cast polyurethane elastomer production. Article 64 in the UK REACH Regulation makes provisions for HSE to obtain and use additional information on possible alternatives or technologies as part of the opinion forming process. HSE has announced a public consultation for this application. Any third parties with an interest in the application are strongly encouraged to share any relevant information. Scientific and technical information on possible alternatives or technologies should be submitted directly to HSE using the commenting webform and templates which can be found at the bottom of the webpage linked above, by 20 October 2022.
