New COVID-19 Case Information

Situation Update for COVID-19

Latest data on Minnesota testing and case information. In addition to the daily update, this page includes links to the COVID-19 Weekly Report and other data and statistics on COVID-19 in Minnesota. All data is preliminary and may change as cases are investigated. Totals reflect only the results from laboratory testing. There are more cases in Minnesota, and the virus is circulating in communities.

Over Memorial Day weekend, MDH changed the timing of the daily COVID-19 data pull from mid-afternoon to early morning. This change was needed from a database capacity standpoint, and it reduces potential impacts the data pull process has on others using the system during work hours. The change in timing also allows for more automation of reporting processes, which streamlines the process for staff. Beginning Thursday, June 3, the data posted will be current as of 4 a.m. the previous day.

The Situation Update for Wednesday, June 2, will include data from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday at 4:00 a.m. to account for both the change in the data pull time and the Memorial Day holiday.

New COVID-19 Vaccine Information

COVID-19 Vaccine Data

You can visit the Vaccine Data Dashboard to track Minnesota's progress distributing and administering the vaccine across the state. There is a delay between a vaccine being given and when it is reported to the Minnesota Department of Health. This happens because the state must validate and process the data before reporting.
