These Cowboy Beans are one of our favorite sides - and they can totally be a meal! Serve alongside these dishes:

Some of you might know this tasty bean dish as Calico Beans - they are one and the same, and totally, undeniably delicious:
Since this dish can be either a main dish or a side dish, there is a lot of flexibility. Here are some ideas:
- Serve over homemade biscuits for an easy dinner.
- Grill up some steak and chicken and serve these beans as a tasty side.
- Serve as a side dish on the 4th of July along with Spinach Artichoke Dip and a fresh Fruit Salad.
