India: COVID-19 in India - Weekly Port Situation Update

Weekly report as of January 29, 2021, of COVID-19 impact on Indian port operations.

Pakistan: FAIRS Country Report

The report outlines regulatory requirements and import procedures for food and agricultural imports into Pakistan. Additions to the 2020 report include an executive summary and a trade facilitation section. Effective July 1, 2019, Pakistan implemented new labelling and halal food requirements for all consumer food and beverage imported products. The Import Policy Order issued by the Ministry of Commerce governs the importation of items into Pakistan. The federal government regulates Pakistan's food imports, and the provincial governments regulate food safety standards. In situations where a product is not covered by existing regulations in Pakistan, officials generally adopt Codex guidelines.

Pakistan: FAIRS Export Certificate Report

This report outlines Pakistan's requirements for import permits and export certificates for various food products for human and animal consumption. It also provides a list of the Pakistani government agencies involved in the entry of imported food products.

Saudi Arabia: FAIRS Country Report

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) continues to stringently implement and approve food regulations and standards on imported food and agricultural products. In some cases, these new regulations have completely shut down U.S. exports. For instance, the ban on poultry meat produced using stunning or immobilization, which was enforced at the end of May 2018, halted U.S. poultry exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In August 2020, SFDA also announced the official transfer of approving and registering Halal Certification Bodies (HCB) from the Makkah based Muslim World League to its newly created Halal Center. It is currently unclear how this new halal regulation will impact U.S. exports of livestock, poultry meat and various products to Saudi Arabia. FAS Riyadh will update accordingly.

Saudi Arabia: FAIRS Export Certificate Report

The major export certificates required by Saudi Arabia's regulatory and import control agencies are included in this Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) Export Certificate Report. These certificates are required for the importation of food and agricultural products into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and information in this report supplements the FAIRS Annual Country Report. Please note that while every possible care was taken in the preparation of this report, information provided may not be 100 percent accurate as Saudi Arabia routinely changes policies. It is highly recommended that U.S. exporters verify the full set of import requirements with their Saudi customers (importers) before exporting.

Singapore: FAIRS Country Report

This report provides information on the regulations and procedures for the importation of food and agricultural products from the United States to Singapore. Updates in this report include modifications to the Singapore Food Regulations (guidelines governing imported food).
