| STEPS Planned System Outage – Feb. 27, 2026 to March 1, 2026 The State of Texas Electronic Provider System (STEPS) will be unavailable from Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at 5 p.m. to Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 9 p.m. CST due to a planned outage. External users will not have access to STEPS during this time. Important Dates/Deadlines: - The STEPS Release 2 will go live on March 2, 2026. Reference the STEPS Transition Phased Release Plan (.pdf) for additional details.
- The enrollment deadline for the following state fiscal year (SFY) 2027 programs is March 5, 2026:
- Comprehensive Hospital Increase Reimbursement Program (CHIRP),
- Directed Payment Program for Behavioral Health Services (DPP BHS),
- Rural Access to Primary and Preventive Services (RAPPS), and
- Texas Incentives for Physicians and Professional Services (TIPPS).
- The enrollment deadline for the SFY 2027 Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) (Year 10) is March 18, 2026.
- The Executive Order GA-46 enrollment deadline for reporting period 1 is April 1, 2026.
There will not be any further extensions. Any extensions beyond the deadlines listed above would inhibit HHSC's ability to implement the programs.
